We Prepare the Compound

Completed Central Fill orders are shipped by UPS directly to the originating pharmacy at no shipping charge. Tracking information is available.

Central Fill allows one pharmacy to prepare a prescription on behalf of an originating pharmacy. With Westmoreland Pharmacy Central Fill, we provide pharmacy fulfillment for eligible patient-specific compounded prescriptions while the originating pharmacy maintains its relationship with the patient.
Do we need to currently offer compounding?
Not necessarily. Central Fill can help pharmacies that don’t maintain their own compounding capabilities offer access to compounded prescriptions without building and operating an in-house lab. Eligibility is determined during onboarding based on applicable pharmacy and state requirements.
What types of compounding are available?
Westmoreland provides both sterile and nonsterile compounding services through the Central Fill program. Our team can review specific formulations and capabilities with your pharmacy.
Who communicates with the patient?

Partner pharmacies receive a Westmoreland Central Fill cover sheet to use when faxing prescriptions. The submission should include the completed cover sheet, prescription, copy of the prescription label, and any known allergies or relevant health conditions.
Where is the completed prescription shipped?
Westmoreland ships the completed medication directly to the originating pharmacy.
Is there a shipping charge?
No. Central Fill orders are shipped to the originating pharmacy via UPS with free shipping.
Is tracking available?
Yes. Tracking information can be provided for shipped orders.
What is the typical turnaround time?
We strive to ship complete prescriptions the same business day when the order is received by 3 PM.
How does Central Fill pricing work?
The originating pharmacy pays Westmoreland Pharmacy based on Central Fill partner pricing. Partner pharmacies receive a pricing sheet and may determine their own patient pricing.

Is an agreement required?
Yes. Central Fill relationships require a Shared Pharmacy Services Agreement as well as applicable policies and procedures. Agreements undergo state-specific review as part of the onboarding process.

Westmoreland Pharmacy is licensed in 46 states. Central Fill availability is based on applicable state requirements and pharmacy eligibility. Our team can confirm availability for your pharmacy during the introductory consultation.
What support is available after onboarding?
Partner pharmacies receive dedicated support from the Westmoreland team. Our regular support hours are Monday through Friday, 9 AM–6 PM Eastern.
